Chris' Success Story
When Chris came to me for coaching, he was miserable with his job situation. He hated where he worked, felt under-appreciated and under-utilized. He described it as feeling not engaged and complacent when he came to me for coaching. He was unhappy with his job, and feeling a sense of frustration and dissatisfaction with his inability to utilize his creative energy in a fulfilling way. He had lots of ideas, but they weren't focused and he wasn't making time to work on them. He had a desire to develop his leadership skills because he could see that would make a difference in several areas of his life, including his art, his role as president of his condo association, and his career. He had a sense that it was possible for him to change the circumstances in his life that were getting him down, he just didn't know how.
Through coaching, Chris clarified his goals, and met the challenges I made to him. As his leadership and communication skills grew, so did his confidence. He got to reap the rewards of sticking to his commitments when he was offered a job that allowed him to use his strengths and skills in a way that worked for him, had a culture that fit his personality, and paid 25 percent more than his old job! He started committing 4 hours per week to his art and began producing amazing pieces as a result. He looks forward to doing his first art show later this year. In addition to those victories, he and his wife had a beautiful wedding in Mexico, they developed a concrete plan for getting out of debt and have managed to save enough money for two receptions and a vacation in Palm Springs and are confident that they will be able to start a savings for retirement by Fall.
